The Blackness Haunted House
The legend of "The Blackness" started in the late 1950's with a hideously deformed warehouse worker named Dominique. "Dom" worked night and day to repair the mechanical workings of the produce facility , but because of his condition, he couldn't keep up. He was constantly the target of abuse and ridicule by people at work and around town.
When the plant shut down in the fall of '78, Dom was left penniless and homeless. With nowhere to live, he went back to the only place he knew, the old abandoned warehouse. Angry at how he had been mistreated, he took his anger out on the people that caused him pain. The city became victim to a string of bizarre disappearances. The community was stunned when detectives finally found the decomposing remains of all who were missing inside the old warehouse.
Evidence of Dom living in the warehouse was found, but he was never caught. He had been feeding on rotting pumpkins, which was the last crop the warehouse took in. He had an old cot outback where he would sleep. In his revenge, he vowed to bring a veil of Blackness to the community that wronged him. The grounds of the produce warehouse are now tainted with the blood of many, and each Fall, its lights glow dimly as Dom returns to complete unfinished business. So do you have the nerve to enter The Blackness and make it all the way through?

The passion of the volunteer actors makes it one of the best haunted houses I've ever been to, the energy they have is unmatched and you can tell they love what they do

This great deal is four activities for the price of one. I absolutely loved the Blackout Maze (a maze that is pitch black). The oddities museum was creepy I enjoyed it immensely. Both walk-through Haunted houses were very well-designed and the actors were terrifying. Will definitely be one of our new Halloween traditions. The spinning room was a cool feature I hadn't seen incorporated into a haunted house before everyone in our group thought that was one of the coolest things. I will be going back maybe even again this year.

Ever since the Paranormal Investigators from New Mexico came to do their story I never planned on returning because I'm a big chicken, well my friends had other plans...it's definitely scarier than it's ever been, but it's great! I wanna go again, I definitely recommend it & my cousins from Amarillo drove down just for it & loved it!!

I do not scare easily but every year the Blackness manages to get me a couple of times. I take my teenagers and they love\hate it. They get so worked up before we even go in and scream like little girls (we have 3 boys and 1 girl) the whole time making me take the lead. But as soon as we are out they are begging to go back again! Great job, changes every year and continues to grow! It is the highlight my kids beg for every year.

This is a good haunt about to go great. The attition to details was spot on. The actors did a great job. I would put this haunt agenst any big city haunt hands down. This haunt is a must see. The rock music only added to the thrill inside. They offer plenty of rooms and the haunt flows together. It a old school scare the hell out of you house. My hats off to all of them. If you in Lubbock or Amarillo it is worth the drive.
Cost is only 10.00 with 3D glasses. I would have paid over double this. It is that good. Take the drive to plainview you won't be disappointed.
