TexasHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Gary Rymer of Haunted Drive, to discuss what's new at Haunted Drive for the 2024 Halloween Season!

What's new at Haunted Drive for 2024? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

We have added a Michael Myers Challenge this season. It only costs $5 per person and is truly a one of a kind experience.

What are you most excited about for the 2024 Halloween Season?

We have revamped the majority of the Haunted Drive attraction. Customers will experience new and even more deadly fun.

What differentiates Haunted Drive from other local haunts in Texas?

Most haunts advertise themselves as multi-haunt attractions stating they have 3 to 4 haunted houses to choose from. Haunted Drive truly is a multi-aunt attraction because we offer 4 different types of haunts. We have a 10,000 square foot maze, a haunted house, a over mile long drive-thru haunt and a Michael Myers Challenge.

How long has Haunted Drive been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Haunted Drive's history?

Haunted Drive was created in 2017 and opened it's doors in 2018. We were Americas first drive-thru haunt.

What's your favorite experience since opening Haunted Drive?

We had Atlantic Records and Warner Brothers rent out the entire Haunted Drive to hose one of their music stars.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Haunted Drive from start to finish?

The Haunted Drive lasts about 10 to 15 minutes.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Haunted Drive is? Why?

I would say that it can range from 1 - 10. I've seen kids screaming in the car while their parents were laughing their butts off and I've seen parents in screaming in the car with the kids laughing their butts off at their parents.

Does Haunted Drive's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

We're located in the woods of East Texas just outside of Houston, It's spooky just due to it's location.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

We noticed all the drive thru Christmas light shows and thought to ourselves "How awesome would it be to have a Halloween Drive-Thru Haunt. Seeing all the customers screaming and laughing and peeing their pants brings a smile to my face.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Haunted Drive?

Decorating a mile long Haunt is very difficult. Being able to fill in the gaps with props and animatronics is key.

Can Haunted Drive accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Haunted Drive together as a group?

Haunted Drive is more than capable of accommodating large groups of people. We have a hayride people can take thru the drive that holds over 25 people.

Does Haunted Drive offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

We do offer combo tickets which reduces the cost while allowing you to experience more haunts.

Haunted Drive is a very unique experience. I highly recommend that everyone experience it at least once.
