What's new at Screams Halloween Theme Park for 2023? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

There are new locations for the Times Up Maze, the Zombie Wasteland Apocalypse, the Cool Ghoul Boolevard, and the Spider’s Web Pub. Screams® is also introducing a season pass for those who want to return to Screams® every night of the 2023 season for the best Halloween fun in D/FW.

What are you most excited about for the 2023 Halloween Season?

Screams® has reconfigured all of our haunted houses for the 2023 season and the sets are just amazing!

What differentiates Screams Halloween Theme Park from other local haunts in Texas?

Screams® Halloween Theme Park is a whole night of Halloween fun. It's not just the 5 haunted houses. We also have two walk-through attractions, a full food court, 5 pubs (for those 21 & over), games of skill, Halloween themed shops, Scary-Oke, and live stage shows.

How long has Screams Halloween Theme Park been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Screams Halloween Theme Park's history?

The 2023 season marks the 27th season for Screams® Halloween Theme Park! Screams® was created out of the love of Halloween by the owners of Scarborough Renaissance Festival. The breadth of the site and Renaissance style architecture were the natural setting for Screams®. They also wanted to create a Halloween Theme Park that would offer a whole night of Halloween fun and not just a one and done haunted house experience. Over the last 26 years that vision has grown and evolved with changing attractions, different themed haunted houses, and so much more including our iconic TerraMythica Castle, exciting stage shows, and the incredibly popular Scary-Oke.

What's your favorite experience since opening Screams Halloween Theme Park?

The comments we get time & time again, are "I can't believe how big this place is" and "I can't believe how much there is to do at Screams". We love that! Being able to provide a whole night of Halloween fun is what we are all about.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Screams Halloween Theme Park from start to finish?

The average visit to Screams® Halloween Theme Park is 3 hours.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Screams Halloween Theme Park is? Why?

I would say that our fright factor is about an 8. The fact that each of the 5 Screams® Halloween Theme Park haunted houses offers a completely unique experience enables us to scare people in so many different ways. What scares one person, doesn't necessarily scare another. As we say "We will find what makes you scream!"

Does Screams Halloween Theme Park's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

No.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

We all love Halloween and haunts! Screams® Halloween Theme Park is kind of the alter-ego for Scarborough Renaissance Festival. We get to immerse ourselves into the Haunt world each Fall and create a totally different experience for ourselves and the customers throughout D/FW.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Screams Halloween Theme Park?

Technology has totally changed things. The sophistication of the animatronics and props are so elevated compared to where we started 26 years ago. The technology also allows us to program and control the electronic elements of our show that we never thought would have been possible when we started.

Can Screams Halloween Theme Park accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Screams Halloween Theme Park together as a group?

Yes! We can easily accommodate groups of up to 100. The 5 different haunts allow so many more people to come through the park and gives everyone something to enjoy.
