Goatman's Bridge - Real Copper Canyon Haunt

  • Old Alton Road
  • Copper Canyon, TX
Goatman's Bridge in Copper Canyon is also known as the Old Alton Bridge and the Copper Canyon Road Bridge. The iron-truss once connected Denton, Texas to Copper Canyon but was decommissioned in 2001. Some of those who have checked out the old bridge have reported that the bridge is haunted by a half man, half goat figure (Goatman). Stories say there was a local goat farmer who was murdered, and he called upon the Devil to save him. Upon doing this, the farmer was transformed into a demonic satyr and has since haunted the bridge, following those who are brave enough to cross it at night.
