According to local stories, the spirits that live in this inn are said to be that of Erastus and Sarah Reed, who purchased the land where the inn stands back in 1859. At this time, the property was called The Old Reed House and was a stagecoach shop. Reports say the ghosts like to hang out in the lobby, the Marcella, and the Victoria Room. It has been said that a sign has flown off the wall in the lobby before landing across the room. Sounds of a phantom horse and carriage have also been heard. In the Victoria Room, a claw-foot tub has also been known to fill itself in the middle of the night.

There were 7 things that fell down in my room in the one night I stayed there. I got odd feelings through out the building . I feel sick when bad things are abt to happen mind you I'm 20 years old and it is the first time I've stayed in a room by myself in a hotel. I felt bad the whole night when i was there. i had gone to bed and woke up to a man standing next my bed!!!
